AA 2007

The EN AW-2007 ranks among the hardenable alloys. Correspondingly, a heat treatment such as solution annealing and subsequent natural aging are necessary so that this alloy can develop its full potential. This automated alloy can be further processed with high cutting speeds with formation of short shavings. It is therefore especially suited for turned parts like washers or bolts.

AA 2017A

The EN AW-2017A ranks among the high-strength, hardenable alloys. Correspondingly, a heat treatment such as solution annealing and subsequent natural aging are necessary so that this alloy can develop its full potential. This can increase the strength by several multitudes. This alloy is used, due to its high strength with simultaneously good workability, in the aerospace industry and in defense technology and aviation.

AA 5083

The EN AW-5083 ranks among the non-curable (naturally hard) alloys. Correspondingly, they can either be used directly or reshaped after homogenization. A heat treatment for increasing strength is not possible. Due to its very good corrosion resistance, this alloy is primarily used in shipbuilding and in the chemical industry.

AA 7075

The EN AW-7075 ranks among the high-strength, curable alloys. Correspondingly, a heat treatment such as solution annealing and subsequent artificial aging are necessary so that this alloy can develop its full potential. This can increase the strength by several multitudes. Due to its high strength, this alloy is used for structural components in defense technology and aviation. Corrosion protection is recommended in external atmosphere.

AA 6082

EN AW-6082 is a medium-strength, curable alloy. Correspondingly, a heat treatment such as solution annealing and subsequent artificial aging are necessary so that this alloy can develop its full potential. It is weather-proof, easily workable and reshapeable, and easily weldable. This alloy is used, among others, in the automotive sector as an electrical conductor or heat sink, and in the construction sector. It is not suited for the production of complex profiles.
