EGA Leichtmetall is a speciality aluminium foundry focused on the production of hard alloys and large-diameter billets with high proportions of secondary aluminium.

We use industry-leading technologies to produce our metal to the highest quality and precision for demanding applications, including aerospace, defence and special engineering industries.

With our New Horizon project we are investing around €145 million to expand our capacity six-fold, building a new recycling plant in Steyerberg.

Our new plant combines advanced scrap sorting, energy-efficient furnace technologies and an integrated salt slag breakdown process. The result: high-quality aluminium products with a lower carbon footprint, produced in a near-zero waste closed loop.

EGA Leichtmetall is part of Emirates Global Aluminium, the world’s largest ‘premium aluminium’ producer.
